Cat Breeds

Long Haired cat breeds are known for their beauty and gorgeous, silky long hair.  They are more labor intensive than a short haired cat.

The first long-haired cat breed was discovered in Europe in the early 16th century.  The first long-hair cat breed that was spotted is called the Angora.  Their are many different long haired cat breeds and they are all eccentric, playful and unique in their own way.

The Himalayn and Persian are long haired cat breeds that are a bit more passive so they prefer to be inside cats unlike the Maine Coon or Norwegian Forest Cat that likes to play in water and snow.  They are more dog like than the others.
